I’m proud to present to you, dDeviantArt 0.1.

dDeviantArt is a WordPress plugin designed to integrate your Deviations from DeviantArt.com into your WordPress blog.

The main features are:

* The ability to have Multiple Widgets predefined, This allows you to quickly switch between the Deviation set your displaying (Or to display multiple Widgets at once)

* In-line Deviations, You can post deviations inside your Blog post by simply including the :thumb: string which is located on all Deviation pages

* Portfolio Pages, You can define an unlimited number of “Portfolio Pages”, These pages allow you to show off up to 24 of your Deviations on a single page.

The plugin allows you to either set a RSS feed of the Deviations you want to display, Or allows you to set the Search Criteria when defining a page/widget, This allows anyone to quickly set up the item to display as they please.

More information(And Demos) will be available on the Plugin Homepage.

All comments are welcome, Feature requests, Bug reports, etc, may be submitted via my Contact page.

If you look at the comments above yours, you'll see that this has been broken for some time. Given that dA offers User Gallery RSS feeds and widgets (and Portfolios, I think?) only for paid users, they have a vested interest in keeping apps like this from working.

I've found several references to another guy who wrote a way around that, and apparently dA blocked his IP; seems it pulled a lot of bandwidth by hotlinking thumbnails.

Mmh. It doesn't seem to work.
I double-checked it... and tripple-checked it.. and...
But it won't work. And I don't know why. Might be because I didn't activate it as a widget. Cause I modified the sidebar a lot.

I'd love to have it working. Might you help me?
Have a quick look if you want to:

I know :( I wrote the plugin because I wanted to use it.. But i just really havnt had the time to update it for the latest versions of WordPress, or reverse engineer DeviantArt's system again (As they provide no easy way of accessing DA data) since the last site makeover.

With any luck i might manage to do it in a few months, its on my todo list for sure.

I had a strange problem. The plugin automatically gets "root" as user and group permissions, this means, once you upload it to the ftp it will not be accessible by wordpress, and you won't be able to delete it anymore. This on Ubuntu, using built in unzipper and gftp.

This is great - I've been looking for something like this for ages. But I'm really struggling to get it configured. =[
